Starting out years ago, I had no real clue about this. One of my early bosses even traveled with me for two weeks to train me because I wasn't making the numbers he wanted. I had to be trained to understand what really was causing people to buy certain things. And it surprised me to see it is NOT logic. 

After a few years, I was running sales teams of 24 people and managing their commission structures!

Today, every product, service or app that is selling well online or offline, addresses at least 2-3 of the list of 10 reasons people buy. If you want to sell your business at any time or you want to sell a bunch of product to another business, this will help.

How to push through to finish without losing momentum.

Creating product businesses has many twists and turns. This is how my path has evolved.

Last week was a big conference. 2,800 companies plus 110 inventors were exhibiting! Of course, everyone was there to find contacts but there's another side to what goes on. 

All those 2,910 businesses were eligible to win one of 35 Retailers Choice Awards or a top three award in the invention area. 

Why would that be helpful to them? Because the award winners get promoted to 20,000 industry professionals and 120 media outlets.

Almost every year I get asked to judge sections of the show. (Of course, not in the categories our clients might be competing in! :)

So do you want to know what I've learned after evaluating that many products?

That is what our show is about.

(Maybe these inside tips are why at one national trade show where 5 of our clients were exhibiting, 4 of them won Retailers' Choice Awards. Just sayin'. :)
